View Browser Source is a free pack of AppleScripts which will allow you to view the current web page`s source code in an external editor while using a number of different OS X web browsers.
The scripts in View Browser Source are available for the following OS X browser flavors: · Camino 0.7 · Chimera 0.6 · IE 5.2.2 · Mozilla 1.4 · Netscape 7 · Opera 6 · Safari 1.0
and currently have built-in support for the following external editors (including CLI): · BBEdit · emacs · PageSpinner · pico · TextEdit · vi
Installation and usage
Save any of the included scripts as a double-clickable application from within Script Editor (open the script, choose Save As... from the File menu, and select Application from the Format pop-up in the Save dialog).
For easy usage you can add the script to Apple`s Script Menu or you can use DragThing or FastScripts to assign the script to a keyboard command. The latter method is highly recommended.
